Since we're fresh out of one of those, I will be trying this idea. I had been displaying them on our bookcases in the family room (and taping up the flat ones to the sides) but the ribbon adds such a nice touch. They are one of the last things to come down. Then painted clothespegs red and green and alternated them along the ribbon. The hooks have been covered up with festive bundles of pinecones/fake berries.
