81 Silhouette Snowflakes & a GIVEAWAY!

Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a fabtastic weekend!  I spent the weekend working on our Michael's Dream Christmas Tree with the kids.  We crafted 40+ ornaments this weekend, and I am so excited to share the outcome with you this week!  You can follow along on instagram to find more sneak peeks like this one....

This week all sorts of goodness is going down at IHeart!  Giveaways Galore!  Black Friday Discount Mania!  A super amazing Reader Raid.  Gah!  I can barely stand the fun that takes place during the holidays!

But, the reason I am here today, is to share a quicky fun project I did to get our house holiday ready!

Ooooh!  Sparkly things!

Silhouette is launching their newest machine, the Portrait.  It is awesome!  Light weight, easy to use and a fraction of the size of the CAMEO {and will be available for a fraction of the price too!}.

I have a bunch of holiday crafting to get done, so this little friend will make things much simpler and quicker!

I started out by making pretty glittery sparkly snowflakes.  Silhouette actually has a kit to make any glittering projects super simple.

You just use double-sided adhesive sheets paired with the glitter....

The Silhouette did the hard work and cut the snowflake for me.  I downloaded a few different shapes and sizes to give myself a good variety to work with.  The adhesive backed sheets need to be fed using the cutting mat.

Once the snowflake is cut and the excess pieces are removed, the yellow paper backing can slowly be pulled away, revealing the stickiness!

Then you get to dazzle it up with the glitter!

And that is it!  And then magically you have all of these!

I just love how they shimmer and how the light makes them sparkle!  Every girl needs a little bling in her life!

I know some of you are equally as excited as I am about pretty snowflake decor, but my guess is most of you want me to cut to the chase and give one of these awesome Silhouette Portraits away!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

As I mentioned above, Black Friday deals are in the works!  That is right!  The winner of this giveaway will be announced on Friday, just in time for me to share the steals and deals that Silhouette has in the works for YOU!  Stay tuned!

    1. Awww, your too sweet!

It really has been trial and error and sweaty palms and finger crossing! I probably don't do anything right and know there is so much more to learn, but if I ever need a helping hand, youtube has a ton of great videos and their blog has fun projects to try.

      xo!

  29. How do you like it in comparison with your Cameo??

    ReplyDelete

    1. GREAT question! They are both wonderful. I love that the CAMEO can tackle wider, larger projects and cut more at a time, however, it is also so big that it takes up more space and isn't as mobile. The Portrait is so petite and portable and simple to use. You really can't go wrong with either. :)

      xo,
      Jen
