37 March Challenge: Project "Household Binder" {Important Info}

All free printables mentioned within the post are now expired and available for sale!  Please check out my Etsy Shop for a large selection of personalized printables to fit all of your household organizing needs!

  Thank you!

Today's printable is all about the important stuff.  This is the main reason I initially wanted to do a binder.  For all that important information that I have scattered throughout my brain and in files and in phone books and on the internet and in my wallet.  It needs to be in one shiny happy place!

That's right.  Everything that we may need to look up in a jif.  Our bank info, repair man, auto insurance agent, doctors... it's all right in my binder now!

I love that I have a quick reference sheet now for everything we may need at a moments notice.  No more hunting through the filing bins or pulling up the yellow pages online.  WAHOO for time savers!

And for all those random business cards for handy men and secret insurance agents, I just snagged a baseball card holder from one of my husbands old albums!

We don't have many, but I adore that we have some room to grow and, again, a single place to put these little guys now!

Another major Household Binder item checked off the list!  Still have a lot to push out to you this week though, so we can get them done and link up on Friday!  Maybe some double post days are in your future this week!

I decided a little challenge would be fun! This month we are creating a Home Management Binder!  Wanna Join in?  Take photos and blog about your awesomeness as you go!  I am hoping to do a giant, "We did it!" celebratory post where we can all link up our binder creating success stories at the end of the month!

  3. Thank you very much for sharing! greetings from Barcelona (Spain). Help me
much to the organization of my home. The only problem is that your
documents are in pdf English and I can not be translated, but I'm
trying to make my own templates.
When you get bored I can give a thousand and one challenges my own home, as it is
very small, live my husband, me and my two children and sometimes be
organized is an adventure (75m2 of floor).
    Greetings!

  6. Thank you so much for doing this. I have been meaning to do a household binder for the last five years. I always get about half-way there and lose steam because I don't like how it looks, and i just throw the last few pages in there. Now I will have a well-organized and colorful household reference book that will be completely finished in the next week or so. Thank you again, you are a life (and time) saver.

  9. This is a great idea! I always think if, God forbid, someone (including my husband!) had to take over my household in a moment's notice, it would be impossible. I definitely need to do this ASAP.

  22. this is a great idea!! I am an emt for a small town, and if people only knew how much this simple thing would help in an emergency. It would make things so much easier and there would be less of a chance that something important could be overlooked.

  23. I love what you have put together. Aren't you worried though that someone could get a hold of that binder and then have all your personal info? I adore the idea... but how do you keep that whole thing accessible, yet NOT accessible at the same time?

  28. Great idea. I have a household binder that I have info stored in. I like having it accessible. plus, in an emergency, if you have to leave the house, bring it with you! :-)

To the person who said they would be worried about someone finding this info. Just my opinion, but if someone breaks into our house, I have a file drawer with all this info in it, they could get to that. Or, they could steal my computer and/or computers can be hacked into. Maybe this isn't a great answer, but my info is already everywhere, if you look at it that way.

Thanks for making all these printables and sharing them with us. I just love the school paperwork printables! I'm big on keeping school papers & memorabilia, so those are very helpful to me.

  29. Hi Jen! Thanks so much for your blog, I love it and have used many of your ideas. I have been putting together a binder along with you this month and thank you for your printables. I was wondering if you could possibly make ones for something that I like to track and keep records of. Kids Illnesses...columns for date, symptoms, and treatments. This is where I keep track of what meds they have used, how many ear infections, etc. I have three little ones and keeping track of who had what and when is difficult. If you don't have time, no problem, thanks again for your awesome blog!!!
